What we actually need to appoint you

Our terms of business process asks for four things. Applications that include all four are usually approved inside ten working days.

Dublin Docklands

First, evidence of authorisation: your Central Bank of Ireland registration number, or your FCA firm reference number, and the classes you are permitted to intermediate.

Second, professional indemnity cover — the current schedule, showing limit of indemnity and expiry, not a broker’s letter confirming that cover exists.

Third, a description of the book you expect to place with us. Not a forecast we will hold you to; a description. Contract surety for regional contractors is a different proposition from trade credit for a wholesaler, and it changes who your named underwriter should be.

Fourth, the name of the individual who will be responsible for the relationship. Firms, in our experience, do not place business. People do.
