Policy and bond registry

Verify a policy

Every policy and bond we issue carries a reference number. Enter it here, or scan the code on the document, and the registry confirms whether it is recorded and in force.

Check a policy or bond

As printed on the schedule, certificate or bond.

The check reads the registry FDI Insurance d.a.c. keeps for its own policies and instruments. It confirms what is recorded; it does not bind cover, amend a wording or replace the document itself.

The result appears here once a reference has been checked.

How it works

Three steps, one registry

The same check whether the document is a performance bond, a trade credit policy or a savings account schedule.

  1. 1

    Find the reference

The reference is printed on the schedule, the certificate or the bond wording, usually beside our name and the date of issue. It reads like FDI-2026-0007.

  2. 2

Enter it, or scan the code

Type the reference into the form, or scan the QR code on a document that carries one. A scanned code fills the form and checks the registry at once.

  3. 3

    Read the result

The registry answers with the status of the record and the details we hold publicly: the product, the issuer, the parties and the dates. Only an active record verifies.

What the check confirms

The registry says what is recorded, and nothing more

It confirms

  • That a policy, guarantee or bond with this reference was issued by FDI Insurance d.a.c.
  • Whether it is in force today, has expired, was cancelled, or was never issued.
  • The product it was written under, the issuer of record, the registered holder and the beneficiary.
  • The guaranteed amount and the guarantee and draft validity dates.

It does not

  • Confirm the terms or the wording — those are in the document itself and in the schedule.
  • Bind cover, amend a policy or replace a lost certificate.
  • Show anything about an instrument that is not in the registry: a reference we do not hold is answered as not found, nothing more.

Not found
No policy or bond with this reference is in the registry.

If something does not add up

A document you are not sure about?

If a certificate does not verify, or verifies with details that do not match the paper in front of you, do not act on it. Call the broker desk on +353 1 604 4020 or write to [email protected], and we will confirm it against the registry by hand.
